What the hell is wrong with people? Can’t they leave the kids alone to have some fun without pissing all over it in the spirit of political correctness?

Earlier today I read about a gentleman that protested because a Halloween display looked a bit too much like a lynching. He was right, that’s the kind of obvious thing that pretty much everyone notices and knows can be misunderstood. Did he condemn Halloween as a whole? Of course not, he simply pinpointed the one thing he saw wrong. Good for him.

But Halloween itself? What the hell? Are you telling me that you can’t allow your child, who is the innocent party here, to dress up for an hour or three and goof around? You actually have to look into a hidden, dark meaning that simply isn’t there?

What’s next? Are we going to outlaw the 4th of July to avoid offending the British? Are we going to finally cave in and kill St. Valentine’s Day too because it offends the lonely and unattached? How long before Christmas is turned into the Optional Holiday of the Winter Solstice and it is removed from the list of Federal holidays?
